Prof. Zhang Wenzhi

Prof. Zhang Wenzhi, born in April 1967, in Liaocheng county, Shandong Province , was admitted by the Foreign Language Department of Shandong University in 1986. In 1990, after attaining the bachelor degree in Foreign Language Literature, he was specially appointed to work in the army. In 1999, after demobilizing from the army, Prof.Zhang entered the Philosophy Department of Shandong University for the master degree in Chinese philosophy. During his studying period in the Philosophy Department, Prof.Zhang kept holding the post of Chinese-English translation for the journal ofZhouyi Studies. After graduation in July 2002, Prof.Zhang began in charge of the office director of the Center for Zhouyi & Ancient Chinese Philosophy until now. In 2003, associate professor Zhang embarked on the work of translation and edition of the journal ofZhouyi Studies(English version). In 2005, associate professor Zhang was admitted by the Center for his doctoral degree, with the orientation isYi-ology. Now associate professor Zhang mainly specializes inYi-ology and its English translation, with 2 works and more than 20 papers published (translating papers included)

For many times, Prof.Zhang was invited to have academic communication and invitation in France, Singapore, Belgium, Taiwan and so on, and took part in an academic program from the Ministry of Education of China.

Prof.Zhang also is the Executive Member of Chinese Learned Society of Zhouyi, and the visiting scholar at the Harvard-Yenching Institute from Sep. 2007 to Aug. 2008.
