试论《周易》的原初意义与现代意义

    摘要:文章首先阐述了考察《周易》价值的方法,然后运用这一方法全面考察了《周易》的原初意义与现代意义。作者认为,《周易》的产生标志着中华民族抽象思维能力的关键性跃迁;《周易》的内容折射着当时的自然、社会和人文状况,记载着古代先民对于当时复杂的自然、社会和人生问题的特别关注与初步思考;《周易》的人生智慧和行为原则,反映着趋利避害和预见未来的价值取向;《周易》的思维方式汇集着当时的思维工具和认识方法,表达着最初的终极关怀和哲学意识。而《周易》所提供的始源性材料,有助于我们从根源性上来把握中华文化及其当代特点;易学史的演变与发展则为我们更好地把握历史文化发展进程提供了重要的思想资料;《周易》所表达的人生智慧和思维方式对于当今人类把握现实与面向未来也具有极为重要的启示和借鉴意义。

On the original and modern significance of Zhouyi

Abstract: The paper at first elaborated the method of examining the value of Zhouyi, and then took advantage of the method to give an overall investigation on Zhouyi's original and modern significance. The author holds: the emergence of Zhouyi marked a key forward leap of the abstraction ability of Chinese nation; the contents of Zhouyi reflected the natural, social and humanistic circumstance at that time, recorded ancient sages' special concern and primary consideration on the complicated natural, social and life issues at that time; Zhouyi's wisdom for life and principles for action reflected its value orientation of tending towards advantage to avoid harm and towards future prediction; Zhouyi's thinking method gathered tools for thinking and methods for acknowledgement at that time, and indicated the ancient sages' primary ultimate concerns and philosophical consciousness. The original materials Zhouyi offered are helpful to us to master traditional Chinese culture and its characteristic from its root and origin; while, the development of the history of I Ching learning supplied important materials of thought for us to grasp the course of the historical and cultural development; the life wisdom and thinking mode indicated by Zhouyi are significant and inspiring for modern human to face the reality and keep the future in view.

生存结构与心灵境界

——面向21世纪的中国哲学

摘要:中国哲学可视为一种“生命哲学”或“生存哲学”,它所关注的核心问题就是“生存结构”或“生命结构”,而这种生命结构本质上又体现为阴阳结构。阴阳结构或阴阳范畴,从其内容来看,其实也就是中国人的心灵结构,同时也是我们的心灵境界,体现了一种生命关怀或“生命忧患”意识;从其形式方面来看,则是一种“结构思维”方法。当今人类面临着许许多多紧迫的世界性、全球性问题,以《周易》哲学为代表的中国生命结构哲学或许能够给我们以相当的启示。答案就是:多元一体,共存互补。

Survival structure and realm of mind: On Chinese philosophy facing the 21st century

Abstract: Chinese philosophy can be regarded as a philosophy for life or philosophy for survival. The core issue it concerns is survival structure or life structure. This kind of life structure embodies yin-yang structure in nature. Considered from its contents, yin-yang structure or yin-yang category is Chinese people's mind structure as well as our mind realm, manifesting a kind of life concern and consciousness of anxiety of life; considered from its mode, it is a structural thinking mode. Modern human are facing a multitude of emergent universal and global issues, Chinese life structure philosophy represented by Zhouyi can probably give us an important enlightenment. The answer is: multifactors in one body ought to coexist with mutual supplement.

从《太玄》看扬雄的人性论思想

摘要:一般讲扬雄的人性论,都以《法言》为依据,认为他是“善恶混”派的代表。并认为他的人性论缺乏内在超越的根据,比较接近于荀子。本文认为《太玄 》中蕴涵丰富的人性论思想,研究扬雄的人性论,应以《太玄》为基础。扬雄的人性论本于其天道观,有很强的超越性,扬氏以五行为架构,提出了非常具体的超越途径,其思想接近于性善说。

On YANG Xiong's thought on human's nature by his Tai Xuan

Abstract: People talking about YANG Xiong's thought on human's nature usually adopt his Fa Yan as their basis, insisting that his thought represents the school of human's nature is a combination of good and evil and standing that his thought on human's nature lacks the basis of internal transcendence, close to XUN Zi's thought. On the contrary, this paper adheres that YANG Xiong's Tai Xuan contains abundant thought on human's nature, and to study his thought on human's nature, we ought to base on Tai Xuan. YANG's thought on human's nature departed from his thought on the universe, possessing a strong spirit of transcendence. Basing on the structure of the five elements, YANG Xiong put forward a much concrete transcending way. His thought is close to that human's nature is inherently good-hearted.

 《易传》对《乐记》音乐美学思想的影响

——兼谈《乐记》中两个相互游离的美学观〖BT)〗

摘要:《乐记》受到了《荀子》和《易传》的影响,由此形成了两种根本不同的美学观。其中源于《荀子》一系的美学思想以现成性的世界为哲学基础,认为音乐的源泉在于心与物相感;而源于《易传》一系的美学思想则以生生性的生活世界为哲学基础,认为音乐以生活世界的本体为源泉。在以西方主客二元文化为主导的现代语境中,现代人对源于《荀子》的美学思想有明确的理解,但对源于《易传》的美学思想却发生了十分严重的文化“误读”,以致于多数现代学者将其全盘否定。其实,只有来自《易传》的美学思想才是《乐记》理论的精华,它真正代表了中国美学的精神,是西方传统文化难以解读的中国学术思想,是中国人对世界文明的独特贡献。

Yi Zhuan's influence on the musical aesthetic ideology in Yue Ji:

Simultaneously on the two incompatible aesthetic outlooks in Yue Ji

Abstract: The book of Yue Ji (Records of Music) was impacted by ideologies dwelling in Xun Zi and Yi Zhuan, resulting two incompatible aesthetic viewpoints: One originated from Xun Zi bases upon the formative world outlook and insists that music comes from the mind's response to the external world; the other originated from Yi Zhuan bases on the philosophy that the world is ever changing and maintains that music roots in the living world per se. In the modern language atmosphere of western dualistic culture with subject and object separated, people have a clear comprehension on the former viewpoint, whereas misread the latter as seriously as such that a majority of modern scholars deny it completely. In fact, as a particular contribution of Chinese people to the world civilization, it is the latter, which genuinely represents Chinese aesthetic spirits and difficult to be comprehended by western culture, that forms the theoretic essence of Yue Ji.

摘要:根据对帛书《易传》的考察,“文”的实义,是指外柔内刚的德性,而表现为谦德。这种意义的德性,称为“文德”,是就政治人格而言的德性。故“文言”是“‘文’之言”的意思,义为“有关为政者(或从政者)德性的言说”。

Abstract: By studying Yi Zhuan copied on silk, it can be seen that the real meaning of the Wen in Wen Yan of Yi Zhuan refers to virtue internally  firm and externally soft, a virtue of modesty. This virtue is a kind of cultivated virtue departing from the political personality. So Wen Yan means speech of virtue for governors.

摘要:本文讨论分析了《二三子》、《要》、《衷》等帛书《易传》中所蕴含的卦气思想,说明帛书《易传》与今本《易传》之间有着密不可分的关系。这一卦气思想是与其前的卦气思想一脉相承的,汉代的卦气思想,就是在此基础上建构完善起来的。探讨帛书《易传》中卦气说的存在,对于推进两汉象数易学的研究有着重要意义。

On the gua-qi theory in Yi Zhuan copied on silk

Abstract: This paper discussed the gua-qi theory (a theory describing the correspondence between the hexagrams and Chinese seasonal points )contained in chapters of Er San Zi, Yao, Zhong in Yi Zhuan copied on silk, pointing out that Yi Zhuan copied on silk and that in current version are closely correlated. This qua-qi  theory and earlier qua-qi theories can be traced back to the same origin. On the basis of this qua-qi theory, the qua-qi theory of the Han Dynasty was established and perfected. To discuss the existence of qua-qi theory in Yi Zhuan copied on silk is important for us to push forward the research on the image-number school of I Ching learning of the western and eastern Han dynasties.

Abstract: By relating geometry, history and religion respectively to “simplicity”, “changing” and “unchanging”, the essences of Yi advocated by Qian Zao Du, the author deeply discussed the correlation between the three aspects of Yi, pointing out that they three form a triad for us to approach and fully comprehend Yi. Therefore, “simplicity”, “changing” and “unchanging” constitute three indispensable elements to Yi.

摘要:《周易·萃卦·彖传》有“致孝享”一语,古今学人都把“孝”字理解为普通的孝道之孝,谓“孝享”为孝子之享。实未得古义。本文历考两周金文10余处“享孝”用例及30余例“孝”字用例,几乎无一例外都作祭祀讲。兹结合金文资料以及先秦早期文献,对“孝享”本义作出深入细致的考订。

A new interpretation of Zhi-xiao-xiang mentioned in the hexagram of Cui

Abstract: The Tuan (Judgment of the hexagram of Cui (萃) )in Zhouyi mentioned a phrase of “Zhi-xiao-xiang” (致孝享). From the ancient time to nowadays, scholars always interpret the character of Xiao (孝) as fidelity. In fact, they didn’t get its ancient meaning. This paper examined a dozen of examples of Xiang-xiao (享孝) over 30 examples of Xiao (孝) in the inscriptions on ancient bronze objects in the western and eastern Zhou dynasties, pointing out that Xiao meant offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors. Combining the inscriptions on ancient bronze and certain materials of the earlier pre-Qin period, this paper made a textual research on the original meaning of Xiao-xiang (孝享) in detail.

《周易·坎卦》考释

摘要:从语言文字学资料、考古资料和《周易》成书的历史背景上看,《周易·坎卦》中的“坎”应训为地牢,它是商周时期的监狱为地穴式建筑的反映。《周易》之《坎》卦是以俘虏和监狱为线索而占卜吉凶的专卦,其中既有囚徒的心态、境遇和生活情形的简要描述,也有监狱形状及建筑特征的曲折反映。全卦语义连贯,首尾呼应,可视为我国历史上最早的一篇狱中杂记,它的史学价值和文学价值都是弥足珍贵的。

A textual research and interpretation of the hexagram of Kan

Abstract: Basing on linguistic and lexicological investigation as well as the historical background of the compilation of Zhouyi, this paper holds that Kan in Zhouyi ought to be interpreted as dungeon, reflecting that prison in the Shang and Zhou dynasties was a cellar-like structure. Kan is a special hexagram exposing the clue of ancient prison and prisoner. Not only did the affiliated oracle words of the hexagram simply describe the prisoner's psychology, hardships, and living circumstance, but also indirectly reflected the prison's shape and architectural characteristics. With consistent meaning and with the end in response to the beginning, the hexagram can be considered the earliest prisoner's notes, with dear historical and literary value.

Abstract: WANG Shu was a representative figure studying I Ching (the Book of Changes) in the Wei and Jin dynasties. This paper illustrated the origin, quality, contents, and influence of WANG Shu's I Ching learning as well as the internal and external cause of his learning's formation and development, pointing out that WANG Shu's I Ching learning was a key link between ZHENG Xuan's image-number I Ching learning and WANG Bi's I Ching learning directly implicated with philosophical connotations, and influenced a lot on the formation of the latter.

成 就 与 不 足

——浅议郭沫若的《周易》研究

摘要:郭沫若的《周易》研究以“新兴科学的观点”来审视《周易》,在古史辩派的基础上,深入到了古代的思想及制度,使传统的经学研究一变而为社会的、文化的和哲学的研究,他不仅开辟了《周易》研究的新领域,而且也成为用《周易》打开认识“古代真实”大门的第一人。这也正是郭沫若《周易》研究的价值所在。但同时郭沫若的《周易》研究也存在不足,如对材料的时代性未能划分清楚,得出了错误的结论;以传解经的错误;疏于考证,有臆测成分及趋时、片面的批评,这也是评价郭沫若的《周易》研究时不可回避的部分。

On GUO Mo-ruo's scholarly research on Zhouyi

Abstract: Departing from the burgeoning scientific viewpoints and basing on the viewpoints of the school of argument about the ancient history of China, GUO Mo-ruo deepened his research on Zhouyi into ancient thought and system, turning traditional Confucian classics studies into a social, cultural and philosophical research. Not only did he open new realms for Zhouyi studies, but also became the first person beginning to recognize the ancient reality by his research on Zhouyi. It is on account of these achievements that his research is valuable. But, defects also exist in his research: he didn't clarify the ages of the materials he used, and thus worked out some wrong conclusions; he also interpreted the ancient text of Zhouyi with the Commentaries of later generations; he was negligent in rigid textual research, so his research was mixed with conjectures and biased criticism to follow the fashion of his time. All these defects should not be neglected in reviewing his research on Zhouyi.

《补斋口授易说》考

    摘要:《四库全书》著录《补斋口授易说》一书曰,门人永丰周佐编次,而补斋未详何人。今以方志及史传文集中考得补斋姓丁,名玑,字玉夫,丹徒人。生于天顺元年丁丑,卒于弘治十六年癸亥,成化十四年进士,后历任中书舍人、普安州判、广信通判、兴国知州、南京仪制郎中、广东按察副使等职。门下弟子有周佐、周价、靳贵、唐侃等人。补斋另有著作《洪范正误》、《大学疑义》、《四礼仪注》、《补斋集》等。

A textual research on the author of the book of Buzhai Kou  Shou Yi Shuo

Abstract: When referring to the book of Buzhai Kou  Shou Yi Shuo  (Buzhai's Commentaries on Yi by His Oral Instruction), Si Ku Quan Shu told us that this book was compiled by one of Buzhai's disciples, ZHOU Zuo, but the collector did not know who was Buzhai. Basing on local gazetteer and related collected works, this paper put forward that, born at Dantu (in Jiangsu Province)  in 1457 and dead in 1503, Buzhai's surname is DING, given name is Ji, substitute name is Yufu. He became the palace graduate in 1478 and had served as Panguan (official assisting a local magistrate, esp., in trying cases), Zhizhou (magistrate of a Zhou, a magistrate division higher than county), vice provincial chief justice and so on, with ZHOU Zuo, ZHOU Jia, JIN Gui and TANG Kan etc. enrolled as his disciples. Bu Zhai also wrote the following books of Hong Fan Zheng Wu, Da Xue Yi Yi, Si Li Yi Zhu and Bu Zhai Ji.
