On April 4 th 2010, Prof. Dr. Michael Lackner - Sinologist, director of International Consortium for Research in the Humanities, Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, led the members of International Consortium for Research in the Humanities "Fate, Freedom and Prognostication-- Strategies for Coping with the Future in East Asia and Europe" to visit Zhouyi Center of Shandong University.
Prof. Lin Zhong-jun chaired the forum. Prof. Lin extended on behalf of Zhouyi Center a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Michael Lackner and his colleague, and introduced the development history and Prof. Liu Dajun's contributions to the contemporary Yi studies. Prof. Lin also introduced the members, academic trends and research ability of the Zhouyi Center.
Prof. Liu dajun directer of the Zhouyi Center, looked back on the past when Prof. Zhou Qi Institute of World Religion, CASS, Beijing, studied at Shandong University. Prof. Zhou studying in Europe now, got back to Shandong University with the visiting group. She cherished the memory with the recollection good time.
Prof. Dr. Michael Lackner said that his Germany teacher Paul-Sinologist once had a academic communication with Prof. Liu Dajun in Europe, so he awaited paying a visit to Prof. Liu. This pushed the forum to a new high. Prof. Liu extraordinarily rejoiced over the visiting of Prof. Michael Lackner when re-collected his academic exchange with Prof. Paul.
In the end, the two sides signed an agreement on the academic exchange later to promote the academic communication and push the cultural exchange between China and west.
