The Silk Manuscripts of the Zhouyi and the New Text Yi of Han Dynasty by Prof. Liu Is Brought to the Forefront in Academic Circle

The excavation of the silk manuscripts of the Zhouyi at Mawangdui tomb of the Han Dynasty, is a great event in the academic circle in 20 th century. It also is a great occasion in Yi studies. Scholars at home and abroad make a deep research on the silk manuscripts of the Zhouyi . Prof. Liu also has been learning the silk manuscripts for many years, and made an achievement which is brought to the forefront in academic circle.

On 11 January, Guangming Daily published Classics Report on Traditional Chinese Culture 2009: advance diversification written by Chen Bisheng. In the report, Prof. Liu Dajun's achievement on the study of the silk manuscripts of the Zhouyi got much recognition. Chen pointed out that Prof. Liu's paper The Silk Manuscripts of the Zhouyi and the New Text Yi of Han Dynasty which published in Research on Ancient Confucian Codes and Records and Thoughts in January 2009, affirmed the Text and commentary of the Zhouyi excavated at Mawangdui is the New Text Yi imparted from Tian He in the early Han Dynasty. Prof. Liu also made some preliminary research on the New Text Yi .

In the report, it introduced the research on Confucian Classics in the recent 20 years, point out the achievements and deficiencies in the research and put forward some suggestions.
