On 9th Apr. the ceremony of the first batch of tenured professor appointment was held at the Conference Hall of Shaoguan at Shandong Universtiy. Secretary of the Party committee Zhu Zhengchang and president Xu Xianming attended the ceremony and awarded the letter of appointment. Prof. Liu Dajun and other 13 professors are appointed tenured professors of Shandong University due to their contributions to their academic field and their academic cultivation and credentials. They afford an example to the staff of our university.
President Xu Xianming made a speech at the ceremony, congratulated the professors on their appointment and pointed out that in the system of honor at Shandong University , the high-profile award is tenured professor. The 14 tenured professors show the spirit and elegant demeanour of Shandong University .
At the ceremony, Prof. Liu read his poem Weida de Xingcheng ( Great Journey) which was wrote in 1973, to show his aspiration.
